The Trappe Auto Parts Chaser. A 1992 Chevy Pick-up with the stock 305 engine and a 5-speed transmission. In 2001, with 96,000 miles on the odometer, we decided it was time to put some new life into our truck. We started by lowering the truck, removing the factory tail lights, and installing the new tail gate with the "Corvette" look. Hood scoop just sitting on the hood while determining exactly how it must be positioned to clear the blower drive pulley and carbs. Scoop is fiberglassed into place. Dually fenders are added to make room for the 19" wide Mickey Thompson rear tires. Truck was sent to Extreme Motorsports in Stowe, PA where all major body parts were removed for painting Truck was sent to Extreme Motorsports in Stowe, PA where all major body parts were removed for painting The "Motorvation" for the '92 comes from a big block Chevy engine, ZL1 Aluminum Heads, Comp-Cams roller cam kit, and March Industries pulleys and brackets. Engine is topped off with a 6-71 supercharger and two Holley carbs. The finished product. Made to drive on the street or the track. The supercharged big block is mated to a B&M Turbo 400 trans. At the rear is a Ford 9" with a Detroit Locker with 4.30 gears and Wilwood disc brakes. The truck still has air conditioning which we retrofitted to work with R-134 freon. John Jr. and John Sr. We invite anyone with questions about their project cars to stop in or call. Our shop truck waiting for some Phase II changes. On the list is interior modifications which include bucket seats, carpet, and a roll cage.
